Gas tank Vent
« on: September 21, 2006 - 08:10:01 AM »
I was installing rear shocks on my E-body and inbetween picking dirt out of my eyes and trying to loosen  30+ year old bolts I noticed like about 6qty. 3/8" rubber fuel lines coming out of the back of the gas tank. These lines all go into some kind of common 'manifold' but not sure where it goes from there. I'm sure this is for tank ventilation but why so many lines?

On my 73 there are 4 lines to the tank. in the tank they run to each corner to thoroughly vent the fumes back to the carb to be burned.
