Need pushrods for 383 urgent - supplier details please
« on: September 22, 2006 - 03:38:49 AM »
G'day Guys,

Run into a little problem with the new Crane roller rockers on my 383.  Both adjusters and pushrods are ball ends so need a source for cup end push rods - 8.5 inches long, 5/16 inch diameter.  Alternatively, cup end adjusters, 3/8 inch diameter but have to confirm thread type.  Probably very unlikely I will find these in Australia so need a reliable US company that I can call to order from.  Appreciate any help.

Cheers, Mark.

I ran into the same problem with my 440.  Crane makes what you need. #64673-16. Ordered mine from Summit Racing.  http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?Ntk=KeywordSearch&DDS=1&Ntt=64673%2D16&x=0&y=0&N=+115&searchinresults=false

I ordered a set from Crane as well. Needed a different measurement because the new cam used a different cam circle. It took a few attempts at getting it right but they were very fair on the pricing. Just be painfully accurate on how the measurements are being taken. It seemed like each guy there had a different way of doing things but again they were very fair on getting it done correctly and not nickle and diming you on shipping and stuff. They even ended up sending a spair. Not sure if they intended it but they did...
