What are the metal bolt on brackets for that are bolted to the bottom of the frame behind the rear axle? Are they for a sway bar?

They were tie down points used when the cars were shipped from the factory to dealers on transporters. Dealer prep included removing them but many slipped through with them still attached.

Those are shipping anchors that should have been removed by the dealership during makeready.

Don't know why everyone thinks they were suppose to be removed, no mention of doing that on the pre-delivery checklist.

Plum I don't have any documentation showing them listed as a "removal item" but it certainly would'nt surprise me to see them on one as they serve no purpose after being delivered.

Do you know what year or years the document you posted covers?
