Rechrome or replace bumpers?
« on: October 20, 2006 - 08:00:30 PM »
The RT/SE I'm probably going to buy needs the bumpers rechromed in my opinion, they're in great shape but the chrome is just ok. the cost will probably be about the same to replace them with the repops as to restore the originals, what would be the best way to go?

AMX,

Your call.  I went repop from year one. I still have my old originals if I should decide down the road to have them rechromed but they needed a little dent removal so I opted for new. I just couldn't afford the extra expense at the time.

It all comes down to your preference in the end.

Is the chrome on the repops pretty good?

The repops from Tri-city plating look so good, I had to polish the bumper bolts too

Sorry, I didn't post any pictures of the bumpers yet but they are very nice.
