ok guys. i posted a new guy post in that area when i got here explaining about a 1972 Cuda i had to give up. Well my dad left a note in the guys mailbox that it swapped to. the called him up and they talked for a bit. The car had some kid set fire to the inside some time ago. im not sure the damage, but my dad said the current owner wasnt too optimistic about it. well my dad explained that i had wished i could have that car back since i gave it to him. i spent the last 6 years on active duty in the army and that is the story that always ended with " dude, your an idiot!" well you gotta do what you gotta do right? anyway my dad asked the guy if he would sell it back to me. the guys said he had a friend of his next door nieghbor tell him he had sold a worse off conditioned one for 10,000. UGH. thanks unnamed dude.now this guys thinks hes gonna get a billion dollars. well my dad asked him to think about selling. my dad is gonna try to butter him up some. the guy knows i was in iraq twice since it was in the local paper, said my dad. im thinking if i can get him to realize that i just want the car back and that im not ever going to sell it for profit he might cave. My dad will take pics probably this weekend with the guys permission and get the vin. without pics and the knowledge ill type in after this, what do you guys think would be a realistic offer to this guy?
