Motor mount brackets

As I understand it, in order to swap in a big block where a small block once was you must use big block mounting brackets. Does it matter what body the brackets came out of? I'd be swapping in a 440 from a '66 Imperial and do have the brackets from that car. Or, do I NEED brackets for a big block E-body?

not sure about the 66 Imperial brackets , I believe they will work though , virtually any mount from 66-72 was the same for the big blocks

Don't you have to change the k-frame if your not using aftermarket mounts from a smally to a big block?

I think the K frames are the same, just the brackets are different.

all V 8 K frames are the same with the exception of the hemi , the HP had a skid plate welded to the bottom of the K frame to protect the oil pan originally
