727 fluid amount???

I was curious how much tranny fluid in liters does a 727 tranny hold??  Also why would engine oil come out of the top of the dipstick when the car is running and the faster it goes the more shoots out?   Engine is a 360.......Thx Tim

Usually the 727 hold approx 8 qts , this can vary with the size of converter & deep oil pans or extra coolers etc
 The oil coming out of the dipstick is caused but not having a proper PCV system , pressure inside the engine is looking for any way out , if the valve is plugged or has been eliminated due to custom valve cover it will cause this problem

Hi thx, just a quick reply, I did a compression test on the 360 and it was great so, I had a closer look at the dip stick,  it was not seating right and will now drain approx a liter of oil from the engine, so there was the reason for the oil shooting out..it was too full, but at least I now know the compression is good.....Tx..Tim
