Non-Vinyl Top to Vinyl Top?
« on: November 12, 2006 - 05:53:52 AM »
Anyone ever converted their non-vinyl top car to a vinyl top car?  I'm considering doing this to my '73 Chally and I'm looking for suggestions/hints.  I think I know where to get the rear moldings and that's all I'll need, right?  Any actual experience stories are welcome.

You'll also need the two front pillar moldings. Usually cost around $40 pr. It can be done.

All cars start out as non-vinyl top cars. Vinyl tops are simply an option. As long as you have all the parts, there is no problem. You would not be doing anything more than what would be done in the restoration of any vinyl top car. If you like the look, go for it.
