I am looking at some options into buying a 70 bee, one is letting go my 74 challenger. It was a 318, I got it without the drivetrain, fender tag or build sheet. The numbers on all body parts match. I built a 68 440 .020 over, it had 32k original miles on it. comp xe274h cam, 906 heads, edelbrock rpm new 750 vac sec,hv oil pump, new core 3 core in the original radiator, all of which has under 150 miles on it now, 3000 stall turbo action reverse manual, 410 sure grip, hp exhaust manifolds, and completely factory stock exhaust all the way back to the tips. 15x8 ralley's on the back new with 275 60 15's and 15x7 fronts with 225 70's. No trunk rust, no floorpan rust, no frame rust. I had 1 dent fixed on the drivers fender, I allso had two small patches welded on the quarters. one was like 4x8 and the other was like 6x9. I had bought 2 quarter panels, but the body guy said that was what he needed. I had the hard top repaired in a couple of small places. He cut the old metal out and welded in new. New back seat upholstery installed. Needs front covers now, new dash pad to be installed, Needs bumpers re chromed, I wanna put a new front slash pan on. A new one is on the back. New rear brakes installed, complete new front end going on this week, I have it all in the boxes and bushings already installed in a set of lwr arms. I converted to standard steering, so I installed all the correct console/floor shift items. Needs carpet. Had a 3 speaker am 8 track. The owner kept the 8 track. I installed new package tray and headliner. Needs better interior panels. This car runs extremely strong and has no issues performance wise. Car needs to be painted, detailed, cosmetic interior work and the a/c installed for a big block. The conensor, lines, and under the dash unit are on the car now. It's tagged, insured and driven. It's got a 70 wing on it also. All glass is good with no cracks. When I got this car, it was a rolling shell. I have gotten this far with it and drive it as I work on it. It is a very fun and quick car. Like I said, it needs painting. Some of the car is black, some is hot rod black primer. I was going to put a new hood on the car. The body man said that is where It would have the most body work if I didn't. I like the car, and don't have to let it go, but I like 70 bees too. I still have the 70 4 speed barracuda with my 440-6 for it. I always have an e body for first choice. Is it far fetched to try to get 12k for this car? I have done other things to it like new heater valve, some chrome trunk tail piecs, fuel cap, and things like that. Not a bunch wrong with the car at all. Just needs tlc cosmetics and a repaint and some bumpers, things of the sort. Here's some pics I have of it. The back window was leaking causing the lower quarter problems. It had side molding on the car and I had them take it off. I was making a rallye out of it so he had to cut the stubs off down the sides that held the chrome rubber strips on. The car now has the correct exhaust tips on it. The extentions were temps
I will dwn load a couple more to photo bucket to show work done to quarters, car is pretty straight and not banged up.
