Carter TQ decode please

Carter ThermoQuad I have is a 9141S - can someone tell me what vehicle this carb was from, what CFM it flows and any other need to know stuff. 

Also, will this carb suit/fit an Edelbrock Torker 383 (#3010) manifold?  Thanks.

p.s.  I haven't been able to find a listing for this in any of the guides so far off Google.

I don't find anything either. These guys can tell you, http://www.thermoquads.com/  I'm guessing based on the # from a 75-77, I see some Fords used these in AU.

Took the carb to a local specialist today and he had an old Carter guide.  The 9141S is an Australian release used on early emmissions Ford 351 with manual trans' and was told it would be about 800CFM (seems high to be used on a 351?).  Was quoted about $300AU to rebuild it (incl' $120 in parts).  Would also have to buy an adaptor to fit the TQ to the Edelbrock Torker manifold so price is now getting up around a new Holley (600CFM 4BBL vac sec $425.70 / 750CFM $443.50AU).

I have the Offenhauser Dual-Port 360 manifold which suits the TQ but mixed reports on this one on the web.  My big problem is that I get all fanciful about fitting quirky vintage gear (I reckon the Offy would look much cooler than the Edelbrock) rather than the obvious latest generation equipment but that can't always be a bad thing.

TQs were used on 460CI motors too, I don't know what your history is with this carb. but it seems a little steep for a non OE piece. I still use TQs & have found them pretty easy to rebuild, not so easy to tune. The kits are only about $25.US & new floats are available for about $10.ea. You might unload that unit to a Ford owner & invest in a correct TQ or even a good ole AFB or Holley. What motor & model are you working on?

Bullitt99, I'm running a 383 in a 70 Barracuda which I believe would have had a Holley on it.  My brother is now giving me a holley 600cfm vac sec which we'll rebuild and try out.

Yea, the Holley is the way to go IMO, a lot better parts & tune up availability, plus you have no issue with the intake you want to use.
