A very desireable car, no doubt. But for my means I'd sooner find a roller 383 4 speed that I can build my way with parts I have on hand. A V code car demands the high buck museum resto, and all the headaches that go with such a restoration. I know a guy who dumped his 69.5 Super Bee when he started getting quotes on prices for 6bbl/pack specific parts. He figured he could build a decent driver for what he'd spend in some, not all, of the parts needed. And that didn't include the car. The V codes are where the hemis were 5-10 years ago.

But still a very desireable car! :grinyes:

Barry,

I found this on Ebay today, “1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE V code 440 6 pack Project”. Track this car and you should get a good idea of what the car you want is worth.

Thanks ChallengerDays  I'm remaining optimistic and will know more this evening on the V-code i've been looking at. I know i'm in a fair price range though and still a chance of finding a build sheet too. Way cool :cooldancing:

Take it away Barry...

$5000-$10000 is a deal. Above $10000 is probably what most guys would pay. Restoring a car is NOT cheap, take that into account....

we are restoring a numbers match 70 challenger 440-6 4 speed. Go Mango. That was a rot bucket. He paid $35k for it, about 2 years ago. the motor and tranny were there however.
