I am also building a HEMI and it looks the a similar set up as yours.
Questions,
Did you need to machine the bottom of the location on the heads where the sparkplug tubes seat?
Did you go with a 472 set up or is it a 426 combo?

thanks, Nick

No machining, and I went with my own recipe for a 482 c.i. motor. No crate motor for me. I do all the work myself with the aid of my MOPAR guru. Engine is stock 4.25 bore with a 4.25 stroker crank.

sounds good, if you do not mind telling me about your recipe I would love to hear about it, I still have not decided on a 472  or 482. I have a new 4.25 bore block and the same heads.

CAT 4.25 stroker crank. CAT 7.10 rods. 10.5/1  Diamond pistons, COMP CAMS solid roller cam. Lift- .632 intake, .617 exhaust. Mopar cross-ram intake with 2 -770 holley carbs. It should make between 650-700 ft. lbs of torque and around 650 H.P..

Dave, did you complete the motor and is it what you expected.
I am ordering my 4.25 Crank, rods and pistons for a 482 build up this week so I thought i would ask if you are happy or not? (I do not know why I am asking such a stupid question like that, but I did, sorry)

My first drive was tonite. It is AWESOME!! This engine DEMANDS respect on the street!!! If you don't know what you are doing it can kill you in a heart beat. The throttle response is amazing. At 80 m.p.h. in high gear if you floored it to pass someone you would be doing donuts in the highway. Yes I am VERY happy with the performance, But keep in mind, if you set your HEMI up like mine with the radical roller cam and the ported heads and high compression, it's not for the weak hearted! My engine will only idle at 1500 r.p.m.. Foot on the brake hard at all stoppings. It is an EGO trip! Dave
