A note on hard starting after it sits....If you have an open element air cleaner, and/or a mechanical fuel pump, and run pump gas, you will have issues like this. The modern fuel evaprates much faster than what the cars were designed for. And with a long enough time parked, it will empty the carb(s). You have to give you fuel system time (cranking) to fill the carbs back up. It's a common problem with many carbs now a days. The thermoquad on my truck is fine for 3-4 days, but any longer than that and the bowl is dry, and I have to crank it a bit to fill it back up.
