73 cuda 3 speed wipers
« on: November 28, 2006 - 10:42:42 PM »
have  a 3 speed wiper set-up/switch  but  it appears  they  only  go ONE  speed? Also  having  problem  getting  park  posion  sorted out. If  you  let them run  then  shut them  off without the arms  in place  will it be safe to assume  they  go to the park location  then  put the wiper arms  back  on  or is it  different than that?

First thing to do is make sure you have a good ground on the wiper motor. Bad grounds will cause all kind of squirlly things. Take a wire from the motor housing to battery negative, if that fixes it, you need to clean the ground strap on the wiper motor and the point where it grounds to the body. Second thig to check is if you have the correct switch, and then if it's working properly. Often the most common problem with the 3 speed wiper motors is they wont park (bad park switch)
