Could somebody please tell me if you need 2 sets of intake manifold gaskets to replace the intake gasket. I am not sure if you need 1 set for the manifold and 1 set for the valley pan. Any help would be appreciated.

use the 1214 FelPro for B & the 1215 FelPro for RB engines , generally I use 1 pair of paper gaskets between the lifter valley & the pan & just a tin layer of silicone between the pan & intake , no gasket

You might be confused...In parts books, many times they list an intake gasket which is really the steel valley pan, while the paper gaskets are usually a footnote. You need the valley pan.
