    Headers and coolant

    Ok, I started to take my headers off last night and when I loosened the bolts that bolt them onto the heads, coolant started to leak out of one that was 90% out.  Maybe it's been that long since I've torn a motor down (about 10 years ago), but is coolant supposed to leak from those areas?  :dunno:

    yep.. that's one of the water jackets.. on smallblocks.

    Put studs in all four end holes and you won't have to mess with antifreeze if you take them back off later. :2thumbs:

    Big blocks leak out of all the holes. Scared the be-Jesus out of me!!   :scared:  :scared:  :scared: I thought I did something wrong.  :lol:

    Just be sure to clean the bolts well before you install them again, and use some type of sealer, or the anti-freeze will seep out. Here is a couple of examples.
