Well went to see it - absolutely incredible! The chase scene in the construction site was worth the ticket stub alone.
I am however greatly annoyed with whoever chose to build the film like this - "Bond Begins" is an exceptional idea - allows for an easy return to the overcooked movies from the past (like Batman is doing, and doing very well,) but to do that you need to do one of two things - create a new Bond altogether (ie "the last Bond is dead, we need a new one") or remove Detch as M and start a whoe new continuity (new Bond, new M, new Q, new MI6.) By having Old (getting older) M and old MI6 you create a paradox for enthusists who actually liked some of the old Bond stuff. To accept the new movie you have to simply forget all the old Bond stuff exists.
I will say that I had my doubts about Daniel Craig. His performance was simply spectacular though. Gives me a lot of hope for the next film. If they keep the gizmos to a respectable level he can carry the rest of the film without a sweat.
Eva Green was also a wise choice. She really made her career here. Seeing her in that purple dress was almost as painful to watch as the torture scene... for completely different, yet oddly similar, reasons.
