    looking thru the member list... there are almost 1900 members that have never posted, more that have posted atleast once. I know it makes our member base larger but...

    I know if you remove a member and their post are removed it might effect other peoples ratings...but is there a reason why 5 year members are still on the list with 0 post to their credit (and have not been here in 5 years)?

    Ross has never seen the need to clean out the rolls.  Some actually come back often, but just never post.  Last night I saw someone online I had never seen before and didn't remember approving lately.  I checked out his profile and it said that he'd been a member since 2004 and had been online for almost 2 full days with 0 posts.  Maybe someday, they'll join in the fun.  :dunno:

    good point...was just curious.  when I joined I lost touch for a bit...created a new account...remembered my password...(this one) and either deleated or notified someone that I had made a second that could be deleated...that has been awhile back.

    Most newbies will mention themselves as "long time lurkers" which is what many zero post members do.

    They just like to cruise the boards and search, read etc without contributing themselves.
    However, a huge % of the zero posters aint coming back........like 1,500+ of them.

    :iagree:  No Doubt NZ ...the list does show the last time they were on as well and a ton of them are 2001,2,3, etc...

    I wonder if members that haven't logged in over 3 years were removed, it would free up some space on this site.  Seems to me that kind of stuff is just cluttering up the site and taking up space we could use for more pics and stuff....   :naughty:   :naughty:    I know if I hadn't logged into a site in 3 years, I prolly ain't comin' back....    :stirpot:   :cooldancing:

    I agree. If they "do" come back I'm sure they wouldn't be angry about being deleted, no stats or post count to lose.  ;) Only thing they will lose is there User name but if no one users that name and they register again they can have it back. That could also be a bonus for new users wanting to join but some guy who hasn't logged in, in 4 years has the name they really want.........IMO their should be at least a 3 year deletion system, maybe 2.

    This happened to me on another MOPAR site.  Wasn't there for some time and got deleted.  I had posted a few times on the site too and even went to a thread and found my old post and it said "Guest" under my username.    :swear:

    Since account cleaning is performed as automatic process it's sometimes
    possible - thought rare - that user accounts gets deleted too

    settings not to delete your account so easily in future.

    I know I am still a little new here, but I do agree with the deleting of old (2+ years) user names as long as they have been unactive.
