aahh, finished my 440-6 tonight
« on: December 30, 2006 - 07:46:36 PM »
The only thing I'm lacking is another 402 pan since mine was toast. My 70 barracuda is getting closer and closer to driving.  I got lucky yesterday and found a set of 70 hp manifolds. I had perfect 69's but wanted the heat shield. Going to rebuild the carbs tomorrow, but it will go quick. They only had 20 miles on them since 1975.

How well do you think this will run?
KB 237 .012 in the hole
eagle rods
906 with 214/181
comp xe275hl
6pk
4spd
355

I am hoping for 425 hp or so. Never run this cam and this was not a race engine, just a local cruiser.  Thanks for the wheel Clown, every little bit helps

The only thing you will have to worry about is keeping it straight when you drop that clutch.   :2thumbs:

Thanks guys, I'm patiently sitting here waiting for the paint to dry now.  Guess I could go install my 410s in my challenger while I wait. I took the cone type sure grip out and built a clutch type for it. I feel better with a power lock.

Looks awesome. Don't ya just love it. When ya get so close you can smell the burning rubber. Don't ya feel like a kid on Christmas eve with ants in yer pants dancing a jig just waiting to open those presents or in your case to open those 6-pack throttles???  :jumping:

Very Nice! (Though I think a real distributor would be infinitely more practical than a spray paint cap... ::))
