Mine was rebuilt using a TransGo manual valve body.  It still has the forward shift pattern, but shifts extremely hard. It will chirp 2nd with anything much above 2000 rpm's, even with 3.23's turning 295's. With the old 245's on the back, it would get loose at 80 during the 2-3 shift.  You do have to be careful with downshifting because whatever gear you put it in, that's where it's going to go; and pray you don't get caught in the rain. When I have in the past, I have to shift manually, lifting off the throttle for every shift.

I like the B&M "Manual Pack" better for a manual V.B. in shift kit form. Transgo manual kit is so much more complicated .........but it works.

I'll be replacing my TF-2 kitted V/B with a TA Forward Manual here soon.  :grinyes: :thumbsup:
