Choppin' Personally I think that custom paint job looks cool, but it's funny how these days they aren't considered "in" on cars....Harleys are a differnent story for some reason.

Sorry Gcone for gettin' off the subject...just enjoy the car and don't worry about what it's worth.
I hope mine doesn't have to be trailered around...it'll mean it's not running.

Chevyconvert, thanks for the kind words. I think there is a bit of a retro move in the hobby. It's not for everyone but it's nice to see something different now and again. By the way, seeing as you like my car so much..... you wouldn't happen to be Spanish would you ?  :roflsmiley:  Just kidding...........

i think that if you "cloned" it to be OEM correct it would pull more money. As it stands I would put a value of just shy of 95k. We cloned a 70 chally convert to factory correct, I mean everything. He wanted to sell for $100k at one point....

Aloha.. not happening IMO.

btw - Choppintime.. that cuda is da sh!t. Man i luv that car.

I would rather pay 70k for N96's car over a cloned hemi hardtop. The market has been flooded with clones. The cost is primarily based on the cost of the restoration and not the intrinsic value of the car. A BS cuda, however, carries more value.. to everyone except a boob with money.  All imo.

What a stunning car!!
A '71 Cuda will fetch a pretty penny all by itself un-altered. I agree add $30,000 for the drive train. To the rest; a car done right which I think this car is, should fetch $75K easily. But then again I'm no expert. I like to drive them too. I like to drive em like ya stole em! I love any lovingly restored car, even trailer queens, but some people can be such SNOBS. I had my '68 Barracuda at a "cruise in", had the hood & trunk open and the car is nicely done (restored about 4 years ago, but not numbers matching or anything) with a built up 360. A trailer queen owner parked next to me peered over under the hood & said' "Oh, a work in progress". I just rolled my eyes at her and commented, NO, the damn thing is finished!! Keep the Cuda!! Drive the Cuda and enjoy it!! Maybe one day some high profile lawyer's son will see it & offer you $125K. THEN you sell it!!!

I have considered putting a 426 in my big block RT/SE.   I have seen alot of clones out there the past 2 plus years.
As said before the convertibles can go $100k if the fit and finish is superb along with keeping with the original look.  As for for hardtops..........NOPE.     I should have about $26k in mine with a NOM440.    I thought of going with the hemi and having another $20k plus.    But I am fearful of the clone market as I feel the bubble will burst.   I feel the bubble will burst on alot of Mopars that are high dollar.   $80k is about right, and I wouldnt expect to get more than that.   These buyers you dont find anywhere.    A correct numbers matching car will hold it value more easily than a low dollar car with a high dollar hemi.   As for the stereo system, alot of people could care less, while others would expect give you about 50% of that value you have in it.     If someone offers you $80K you better take the money and run........run now not walk.
