Wiper Motor Choice

1973 Challenger:

I have a bad wiper Motor...should be a 3-speed.  In the pic mine is the one on the left (#343 1665)

The other two motors have been offered to me.  the one in the center looks correct except for the Bolt (in place of the screw) thru the Can and the black plastic part is upside down (#343 1780)

and then there is the one on the right that has no plastic piece (#343 1624) but otherwise looks correct.

I have reasons to believe they are all 3-speed and I think the flat one can off of a cuda/challenger, but the other looks correct...almost.

can anyone shed light as to what they came off of, and as to the best one to choose?

I would pick the one that works correctly.  Make sure it parks the wipers in the correct position . . touch it up with alittle paint and hope I never have to use it!

O and the other thing the plug on the flat one matches mine, and the plug on the one that looks like mine does not...

can anyone run the numbers?  I would rather not fry something try trial and error....

I am pretty sure that the motor on the right that doesn't have the plastic cap is one that will work fine.  According to this site: http://www.wiperman.homestead.com/Motor_part_numbers.html   the #343 1624 is correct for 1972 B&E bodies.

I thought it might.

What is the plastic cap for?

why would one be on upside down compaired to another?

and if I wanted to keep the look...how would I find out which wire was which..to swap the connectors?... (This would mean trying to use the 74 C 3 speed as opposed to the 72 BE vari-3spd)
