I'm going to buy new window seals for my 70 Challenger, and YO wants $12 more for a 70 kit than for a 71-74 kit.  I don't think there is any difference between the doors, (or window scrapers) of the different model years.

Does anyone know for sure?  and if so, what is the difference?

Thanks,

Plumcrazychris,

I know that there is a difference on how a 70 attaches.  The 70's just slid in the door and the later years are screwed on.

First Place Auto Products have introduced a new produce recently:

I don't mind that they are not concourse correct, nothing on my car will be original.  I just need to know if the doors on a 70 will work on a 71-74 and vice versa.

I've never noticed a difference, and if there isn't, why do they have different part numbers?

Is it because as you say 433 that they just attach in a different manner?

Please help,
thanks

I bought a set of 70 doors for my 73. The guy told me that I would have to get the 70 scrapers because they attach differently. I hope that helps.

Well I appreciate your responses anyway.

Are the roof rail weatherstrips different from 70 to 72,73& 74?  I  got some from soffseal and they were crapola.  They came apart where they were bonded together and barely touched the glass in several places.  The windows are adjusted correctly too.

I guess I thought that they were the best stuff out there.   So I'm wondering if they redesigned the later model ebody stuff to work better, they appear to have a different part #.....
