Was Raised on Fords, Pontiacs and Buicks. I was the first in my immediate family that had a Mopar. My uncle bought a new 69 Roadrunner and still has it. Great thread!

Came home from the hospital in Nov of 1972 in a 1971 Plymouth Satellite (now own a car that is almost the exact twin to that car. As well as another 71 Satellite that came from the same dealership as my parents car.  This one sold a few months before my parents got their car)

Dad had a 68 Charger and a 70 Charger 500.  I grew up riding the console of the 70 Charger.  It was more fun than riding the coin op horse at the grocery store!!  :grinyes:  My oldest brother had a 69 Coronet R/T 440, 68 Charger, and 70 Challenger R/T.  Both my half brothers had Mopars (one had a 73 Barracuda, the other had 2 Chargers. A 66 and a 72).   So it is in the family genes to own "MOPAR". :grinyes: :2thumbs:

I'm the first to make the MoPar scene in my immediate family...My cousin always liked MoPars (had a cool little '66 Valiant Signet with a 360/4-speed), but that's about as far as the MoPar genes seemed to go. ::)

The day i was brought home from birth was in a 1967 427/435 horse corvette convertible.  dads has picutres of me in it.  I can remember dad having several small block A body mopars when I was little.  According to him the worst car he ever had was a 1970 road runner he bought new.  now he has a thing for pink E bodies.

I was raised on the rule 'Whatever we feel like buying' ..fords, toyotas, chevy's.. doesn't matter to my family much.

Stumbled on my Barracuda in the news paper, and I've gone head first into mopar's since!

My father always bought used basic transportation vehicles due to being a blue collar family man.First car I remember was a `55 Chevy 4 door, then a `60`s Rambler,`65 Ford Country Squire wagon 6 cyl 3 on the tree then he found Mopar- a `70 Duster /6 3 spd on the floor. The Duster he really liked-very dependable, good on gas and he owned 4 or 5 more /6 Darts and Duster after that,I learned to drive a standard in the Duster. The closest thing to a muscle car he owned was a `69 Chevy 9 passenger wagon with a 396, which I also drove for a while, not very good off the line but I surprised a few guys by running them down and screaming past `em!He now owns his second Volvo-boxy but safe.  :eek7:

First one to own a Mopar in my family (living in New Zealand would be a big part of me being the first).
I now own 3 Mopars and my family has 4! Yay!! lol  3 V8's and hopefully 4 or 5 within the next year.

My parents were Chevy people but my grandfather and uncles were Mopar. My grandfather drove a 68 (I think) Sattelite. My uncles had Chargers, Super Bees and Road Runners. My first car was a Duster that an uncle had bought after he came home from Vietnam.
