« on: January 19, 2007 - 12:49:18 PM »
I'm also in the middle of restoring my pedals and my Question is what colour black was used and any suggestions on what to do with the unpainted areas? The Gas pedal and the other halves of the brake and Ebrake to prevent them from rusting again.ROB :working:

I had SMS Mopar do mine. They painted the parts in a detail grey color. The black portion of the pedals almost looks to be dipped. The pedals when I sent them in were completely taken apart painted then rebuilt with new rivets, almost the only way you can get every part of the pedals painted  :dunno:

Ditzer 9000 (TX9) is a gloss black same black they painted the outside body with, however when they painted parts back in 1970 it was reduced so the finished product had less gloss, more of a sheen plus the gloss level varied from part to part. The bare metal was just that.  Notice the bare metal at the rear of the assembly.
