as you may recall, my car was converted to the 4-speed.
Here are a couple of shots of my console. It does have the ashtray in the rear, so not a '70 which is fine.
If this is incorrect for use with a 4-speed..what problems could it cause?
Could it be putting the shifter in a bind or contributing to the shifter rattling?
can/should it be modified ?

looks like the console will pinch the boot & could cut it , other than that it should have no effect , the top plate is correct

Anyone have any idea why my console/boot fit is so much different (squished) than the proper one on the first page of this thread? Bracket missing or  :dunno:  ??
Looks like my console top warps downward where the other one looks straight on top above the cutout?
Fixable?

looks like the right console , possibly you have too much insualtion under the carpet pushing it up too much  :dunno:
