the Cummins is used in many applications , dodge trucks are basically the lightest use , so dodge specs the cummins detuned so it can offer a warranty on it  , so by tuning the engine it amkes the power it was designed to make in other applications , I have seen Hot rodded Cumins with all the toys make 1600 ft lbs at the rear wheels , almost double again what mine is making
Btw I am not knocking your choice , but for me the Cummins is a better choice , you may pay more to buy one but you only have to buy one every 30 years or so

Don't worry, I will always be a Mopar person, but I have to admit the CRX is fun to drive.   Eek!  I call it my "Street-legal Go-cart".  NO, it does not have a loud exhaust.

aww come on,,,,put one of those coffee can mufflers on it :smilielol: :smilielol:

I'll join the club, my daily driver is a 93 Honda Accord.
And i'm gonna drive it until it falls apart, and it cannot even be repaired with duct tape and pieces of string.
Then maybe, i'll look for a 80's Daytona as a daily driver, or something else by Mopar. Maybe.
See, i really like the way Honda arrange their interiors, and they are fun to drive too, if properly whipped.

Though I've never picked up on the styling of a CRX, Hondas make a good engine and made quite a reputation with me in their motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATV's). :2thumbs:  Oh, and I drive a '91 Toyota (w/238,500 mi) to keep up with gas mileage. (hoping to find a Stealth TT by this summer though.)

I will never own another DAytona unless it is a 69 , the one I owned while it was an awesome car broke down constantly , other than my 2 [first & last ever] Chev trucks nothing has been less reliable & forced me to walk as much

My wife gets the nice Stratus to drive around in.  I have a 83 Ram 250 that gets horrible mileage.  The only good part is that I only put about 700 - 800 miles a year on it.  I have a company vehicle I get to drive home every night!

Nothing wrong with a Honda in my book, jacksboys!   And yes I have a little rice in me.  ;)

We had lots of Hondas in my family.  I used to have a '90 Acura Integra that I used to beat the snots out of on a daily basis and it always came back for more.  I don't think there was a day I didn't redline the engine.  Lots of fun with the 5 speed tranny but not as much with the auto.

I didn't quite have a coffee can on it but a Cherry Bomb straight thrugh muffler.  It didn't sound like a fart can muffler (  :eek4: ) but more raspy.  I just used the stock inlet and out pipes and cut them to size.  Some one traded in a used Integra with all sorts of go fast and handling stuff on it at the dealership I used to work at and I got roughly $1500 worth of aftermarket stuff for free since the woman buying that car didn't want that stuff and I had all of my stock components still.  It handle great!

But if you want a future project.....

I did not take that the wrong way, I was just interested in the setup on your Cummins.  It is always nice to get ideas about possible new projects.   :2thumbs:

Hey,
I just started a thread, so I let somebody else try this one. You guys have me interested now. lets put up a thread to see what everybody has for a daily driver, how many miles, how long owned, modifications?? ect... I agree with the idea of saving on gas so the Mopars can have a nice drink, my 440 LOVES to drink gas!! I don't drive a ricer, but it is a BOWTIE (I'm ashamed, but I also own 2 FORDS). It's a beat up, dented (been hit more than once, there's a good story on that too) banged up 1994 Chevy S-10 pickup with a 2.2 liter motor 4-banger. Chevy didn't make many of the S-10's with the little 2.2 liter. It's got going on 150,000 miles, gets good mileage and I'll drive it till the wheels fall off. Mopars git driven on weekends!! I love the smell of burning rubber in the morning!! LOL
