Hey guys
Got a ? myself.I want to clean the grill grate, but I don't want to remove the rivets and take it all apart. What have you guys used to clean and shine this on your grills?I know a lot of them I see get painted by the owner.I tried some mothers aluminum polish on Q-tips but it will take some serious time to polish all of those little squares.

That's a GREAT question!!  Mine could use a little TLC too. Too many bug guts while driving.  Other than taking it apart and painting it, I have no solution. Anyone else?   :dunno:

Mr. Clown, I have no experience specifically with the '70 grill but spent lot's of time cleaning autos and have found that the detailing sprays like Eagle One Wipe & Shine do an excellent job of cleaning, removing old wax & leaving a great looking finish but on anything with corners & crevices it will take quite a bit of good old fashioned elbow grease to get the job done. Use a soft bristle tooth brush & soft cloth to wipe.

I've never tried the Eagle one brand but the Turtle wax Platinum spray detailer is fantastic. it takes of everything but the shine, I can't live without it anymore.
