Front sub frame swap

I found a 70 Challenger that has been hit in the frontend. The front frame rails are bent and basicly trash. I have a 72 roller that has good frames rails. My thought was to drill out the spot weld on the 72 front frame and install it on the 70. Has anyone taken on a project like this or am I crazyyyyyy???

Just did it on my conv. Easier than I thought it would be. I installed right rail with inner fender attached. Took about 10 hrs from start to finish.

I haven't made it far enough to reattach the rails yet but pulling out the front rails takes a bit of time.But I removed the rails with the radiator support and torsion bar crossmember.

Did you guys drill out the spot welds?

OH YA and LOTS and LOTS of em,Sorry I had a few shots tonight at my brother-in laws and I am feeling goooooood.And when I read this post again I thought back on that one and relized -------Holy crap ----I drilled out a lot of spot welds on my challenger and the 72 parts car,which is the frame on the floor in my garage(pic 3)So yes I am nuts but in a really cool way,So if you take on this task ,you will be nuts to.But it is a great learning experience and if you feel confident ----Then go for it.Just remember to take your time and measure measure measure.And any help I can offer-----just ask-----The Clown
