Hello,
I found a nice way to repair old and cracked quarter and door window seals. (I dont know the appropriate name for the pieces but they are the small plastic over steel frame that is screwed to the top of the doors and quaters where the window rolls down in to the body) This is what I'm talking about
What I used is a product called Plasti-Dip. It's the stuff they coat plier handles with. It really worked fantastic.
It comes in a can or in a spray bomb. I used the spray.
I first used silicone to fill any cracks in the seals and smoothed out as best I could with my finger. Then I applied about 10 coats of the plasti-dip about 30 minutes apart.
It would probably have been quicker if I used the can and dipped them but the spray worked just fine.
My seals were really rough and now they look brand new. Right color, finish and everything..
Just fyi...
