Bill,

That's interesting. I have Grundy. I went with them because of no appraisal. I just sent them a few pics, and a agreed upon value. This was 6 years ago, so maybe they changed their policy.  :clueless: I don't think I have a mileage limit either. I just have to use the car for shows, and not as a back-up vehicle. Yeah, right.

HUM, I am not sure. Hagerty wanted the same info when I signed up with them two years ago, but Both cars were fresh and I had all that stuff in hand. I am not sure if maybe there is a level of coverage that they really start looking at everything either. My GTO is insured for 100K so maybe that is the rub.
Grundy did not have a mileage limit, sorry if I kinda run that together in my last post and made it sound that way. I was just reminding others that some companies do have limits.
I actually talked with the Hagerty folks at Barrett Jackson about mileage and they assured me that I was good to go. They would rather you put 4000 miles on in a year, going to events, power tour, etc rather than put 2000 milies a year driving to work.  :clueless: I guess it has something to do with exposure??

No, It has something to do with parking lots. That is one thing Grundy has in their policy. But... where are most cruise-ins held? I don't get it either.  :dunno: Having a car worth 100K could also make you have more restrictions. I could understand that.

FYI,

American Collector only requires appraisal when value is over $50k.  I only had to email pics for my measly $20k.
