Questions on stock 440 exhaust manifolds
« on: January 31, 2007 - 07:46:12 AM »
My Challenger came to me with headers on it, but I am seriously thinking about going with a more factory-looking set-up.

Obviously the stock exhaust manifolds are much shorter than headers, so I'm assuming that there's an intermediate pipe that goes between the manifold and exhanst...?

Also, will exhaust manifolds from a '68-'69 440HP fit and be reasonably correct looking in an E-body?

Thanks.

yes the 69 manifold work , they are basically the same manifold , just the casting #s change & yes there is a head pipe between the manifolds & exhaust

Are those intermediate pipes easy to come by?

I bought the pipes from TTI and they are great. I also have the 68-69 manifolds and the casting number is the only real difference.
