rear axle with no adjustor question.
« on: January 31, 2007 - 08:23:02 AM »
Hi folks, I have 2 different 8 3/4 out of challengers, one with axle adjustor, one with out the axle adjustor. This leads to my question on  the non-adjustor?  Now you can buy green axle bearings to eliminate  adjusting the end play. would the non-adjusting axle that i have be the same as these green axle bearings not in being same bearings but serving the same purpose any thoughts?

the green brgs will eliminate the adjustment problem , I am not sure what has been doen the the diuff you have without adjusters to make it work , possibly 2 axles were bolted in without the adjuster assy on either axle which would not work well

The rear end was out of a parts cars i had yrs ago, must of been swapped by previous owner before i got it, or some other axle thrown in it.
