out of hibernation
« on: March 03, 2007 - 04:25:04 PM »
So it warmed up a bit here in Md and I got a chance to take the cuda out for a spin today. Its been a while that s for sure. I went by speed unlimited and picked up a new optima red top battery, stuck it in and fired it up.  Felt great to get out with the windows down and smell some exhaust.

I got mine started today too, but didn't get a chance to drive it.  I had to go with my wife to buy new kitchen appliances.  $3500 that could have gone towards my cars. :swear:  But I gotta keep her happy.

I went to my favorite local auto parts store to get some stuff for my challenger. I remembered the gear oil, but forgot to get a new gasket for the 8 3/4. :banghead: :banghead: So I have to go back, and then I still have to put the dash back together ( I removed the 71 rallye gauges and am going to install correct 72-74 rallye gauges), and I have to reinstall the front carb. Maybe I will get the car back together for next weekend.

continued hooking up hoses & wires, completed header install, starter install, sending braided hoses to Gotta Show for crimping on Monday, need to order parts as USUAL, 4 speed carpet to replace non 4speed carpet, replacing MSD red spark plug wires with black ones and caps for valve covers, some brake line adapters, valve cover oil filler cap

maybe start the MONSTER next week   :burnout:
