This is why I hate street racing, sad but true story

Ive about had it with street racing and hopefully this story will stop you racers out there. I saw on the local news last night that a family of 5 was driving home after the movies when there car was T-boned from two teenage kids racing, they ran a red light and hit the mini van at over 100 MPH. The father and mother were killed, two of the children, the third is in critical condition. As for the asshole who ran the red, he broke his arm and leg but he will live. I hope he gets sent to jail for the rest of his life and he thinks about the 4 people he killed because he was too lazy to run at the strip. I feel so horrible for the 5 year old who will never get to know his family...

PLEAS if you are a street racer, STOP! IT KILLS!

The judicial system sucks and he will probably get manslaughter and 5 years time,  and for his remembering this every day, he is probably a jerk and won't bother him much.   I think he should be shot.

71PlumCrazyCuda, that is a sad story.  Speaking of idiots running red lights and stuff.  I have a friend who just recently finished the restoration on his '69 Camaro SS clone.  He was on his way back to school from catching a quick lunch at Burger King when some wannabe Ricer T-boned him while he was pulling out of Burger King.  He said he saw nobody and so did the other two passengers.  Now he has some major repair work ahead of him on his driver's side front end.... ::)
I agree, if these people wanna race, take it to a track and let the streets be for normal driving.

I was recently on a srt4 forum on dodgeboy.net and these dumb, rice rockers with a dodge badge or not, think its funny driving like jerks and because of there driving like jerks I have to pay high insurance for being 21  >:( >:(

there is a time and a place for everything.  rush hour and crowded stop lights are not the place.

That is a sad story, I think racing on the street is fine.....BUT there are some things you can do to make it safe. Don't do 100mph!! Go hard to the speed limit and then back off. Don't run red lights!! Sh#t you've got brakes use the bloody things. I do drag at lights on the odd occasion but who doesnt. I read the roads as best as I can  my eyes are 400 meters ahead checking the side streets and for legs under the cars for kids and animals. Plus like someone said if no one is out there give it death and let those shoes dance the Mopar tune........
