This what I need?
« on: February 08, 2007 - 01:10:50 PM »

Summit has this clutch and pressure plate, I have a 23 spline 10.5 inch flywheel, anyone use these or hear anything about them? I've heard centerforce is a good alternative to Hays for pedal pressure and grip.

if you have a 10.5" set up I would up grade to a McLeod B&B or B&B long style 10.95 clutch
Stay away from the C force clutches

first you need to remove the overcenter spring on the pedal , even after removing it the pedalmay stay on the floor when you shift
I have seen the discs come apart with very few miles on them
 Basically overrated Junk

It looks like mcleod won't sell clutch kits without the flywheel :money:  Instead of a 300 some dollar kit, its an 800 dollar something kit.  I need to know whats the best company for pedal pressure and trouble free operation. :dunno:

Summit only lists an 11 inch mcleod 23 spline clutch disc?  Where do you buy them from?

Here are some pics of my flywheel, does this look right, and how do you measure your flywheel for the clutch?

you should be just over 11" inside the bolt holes where the pressure plate mounts

I had to put a new clutch in my car right after i got it.   Went with the Mcleod.  Street clutch.  slightly lighter spring tension on the pedal. I like it,easier to drive, still launches hard.... :2cents:

I havn't broken a Centerforce yet. But I have ripped the centers from the stock replacement discs on several occasions. I dont like Rams, havent used Mcleod.
