I've enver seen a Green bearing fail due to abuse. I have replaced themn due to "sitting" and rusting...lol. I also rarely see anyone who knows enough to repack the factory bearings.

That's a messy job when the bearing is on the axle  :grinyes:

[/size]My one expierience was replacing outer bearings on a 73 charger 8 1/4?? and the bearings appeard to be sealed. Are the 8 3/4 bearings serviceable?

they 8 3/4 brgs are servicable , the cup slides away from the rollers & they need to be packed as they do not oil from the diff

Thanks CP, will be sure to do this when I pull the rear suspension in a few weeks.
