« on: November 13, 2003 - 06:55:31 AM »
i was watching Dream car garage last night. If anyone has ever seen this show, its on cable , not sure what station, i think it was on speed channel.  anyhow, there is this little twit on the show that thinks he knows everything there is to know about cars.  Last night they featured an all original, numbers matching, convertibe, 1970 hemi cuda. the car was sweet! BUT, the dumbass twit on the show said it had 2 holleys, as we all know they were carters not holleys.

It's on Speedvision.
That "little twit"  is the owner of the company that does quite good and expensive restorations from what I gather .  The show has been on for 2-3 years.
Usually they are pretty good with their fact checking.
They've got some good restoration/body/paintwork/interior/gages/brake etc. segments that I've seen. At least for the layman, like myself.
Plus always a cool feature car at the end of the show.

The show is taped in Canada, Milton Ontario
Canada to be exact. They restore and sell
musclecars. Very expensive place. He is sort of
like the Canadian version of Roger Gibson.

I always watch the show and I can tell their  canadian eh, but I was suprised to learn they film segments around Mesa Arizona where I'm at.
My guess is they come out for the Barett Jackson auction
and while they are here they take some of the cars out to the salt river recreation area and film them running up and down those killer hills. Thats a great place to "test" your gas pedal if you know what I mean. We go out there several times a year so I can tell exactly
where they are. At the end of one episode they did a
base jumping stunt off one of the cliffs.
Those guys are just a couple of hoseheads eh
