Difference between BB and SB Frame

Hi,

I currently have a 440 in my Cuda.  The car was originally a 318.  I want to replace my engine mounts, but how do I determine whether the K Frame is for a SB or a BB.  Does it matter?  Is there a difference between the mounts.

the K frame is the same for all V8s Except Hemi , the difference is only the skid plate welded to the bottom of the K frame on the 440s with the deeper oil pan

I always thought they were the same too with 3 different ones (6, V8, Hemi) but there are multiples listed in Galen's book (page #47 in July 2006 casting guide - and at least one he doesn't have in his book but did decode on my 70 Cuda - 72 coin) and the interchange manual gives different ones too that differ in part number besides the skid plate.

Having said that, I know a guy with a b-body K-member in his e-body (but he is looking to change it) so about anything should work on a V8.

The part # may have varied year by year but the any V8 will bolt to the K frame

Not that it won't work but in 70 alone there are 11 different ones listed and I know Galen missed at least one so I wonder what the differences really are on the V8's besides the skid and A53.
