trespassing on other's property

By the way did any of you tough guys that go straight for the weapon ever think that the "trespasser" may ALSO have a weapon, and be a much better shot than you are?

So lets see, according to this, you condone trespassing on private property and the trespasser potentially being armed?? Sounds like it could be construed as attempted armed robbery to me....and with that I believe that am fully within the law to protect my property at all costs. If I am wrong, someone correct me....

Not disagreeing or taking sides with anyone here but anyone with a weapon, especially a gun in there hand, is far from a tough guy in my eyes mate, far from it. Fist to fist is a "tough guy" or better worded, man. You gotta do what you gotta do. You loose you live to fight another day. Gun to gun? Not sure what you'd call it but it's no tough guy, trigger happy perhaps?

Though, in all fairness, if your life is at stake and they have a gun, of course, grab yours. A right hook is no match for a gun. But reading most of these posts and gun related topics, a lot/most of you guys are quick to drop your stuff to run for your guns. What happened to just walking over to them and asking if you can help them, is there a problem here? If so, leave or be physically removed from my property.

I think the whole point here is that there is potentially a thief trying to rob someone and maybe armed.Atleast in my case with fenced posted property it would be obvious they were up to no good.When was the last time you heard of a bank robber saying"stick um up or i'll punch you in the face"?lol.Also if they have a gun,what do you say"Hey dude wait a minute,let me go get my gun so we have a fair fight"?I personally wouldnt be running out my door with a shotgun raised,that also depends on what the circumstances are.If its at night and i find someone snooping around? or during the day?More than likely if it was during the day,i would have a piece hiddin in my back pocket.I usually have one handy anyway for rattlesnakes and such since where i live its legal to shoot on your property,thats why there is a very small crime rate,everyone has a gun.

I have always been successful by going to the front door and knocking. If no one answers, leave note with your name, phone number, and inquiry on their door. I have always had call-backs from this, and have never been shot at.
