Adjusting transmission/kick down???
« on: June 22, 2007 - 01:42:10 AM »
Hi,

I have a little shifting problem with my 727.

When starting in D i starts like normal in 1st, shifts nicely to 2nd but it's pretty hard to make it go into 3rd. It shift to 3rd when driving 50 mph but when it first hits the 3rd gear I almost have to make a full stop before it shifts down to 2nd or 1st. Any one have a suggestion what to do? I don't know much about the tranny so far. The kick down linkage is adjusted so the kick down linkage is pressed all the way back when the carburator is open all the way.

Try loosening up the kick down a little.
