Motor Mounts
« on: April 18, 2006 - 01:00:48 PM »
I have a '73 Barracuda, with a mildly built 318. It has been too long and I can't find the pictures that I took when I removed the engine so I have to ask a stupid question. So, with that said........ I need someone, I hope, to post or send me a picture of a small block; with the biscuit style motor mounts, installed in the car. What I need to know specifically is on which side of the block ears do the mounts go on. And how do they orient on the K frame side as well. A picture shot from above, showing the mounts would be perfect and very much appreciated. Yeah, I know, I did a boo boo. I didn't put the pictures under lock and key and, since it was almost 2 years for my body guy to get done, I don't remember how the mounts go. It's going to be a long process figuring out how everything goes back together.

Hey 4Cruzin, at this point anything would help. If they are still on your 340, that couldn't hurt and I wouldn't be any deeper in doo doo that I am now.

the mount should be on the rear of the ears , I dont think they sit flush with all 3 ears in front

4Cruizn do you still have these picture?

I know this post is really old

I am trying to figure out which way the mounts go
I'm using 318 mounts on my new 340, planning on putting a 3/8" spacer on the LH mount to compensate for the diferent ears on the block
Does the LH motor mount only use 3 bolts or 4, this will explain which mount goes on which side.

Help the motor should be going this weekend :woohoo:

Thanks
