It's really sad...
« on: March 04, 2007 - 01:47:00 PM »
All you older guys that saw mopars back in the late 60's early 70's in the showrooms...what comes to your mind when you see the cars now?  I have a fairly nice 95 Volvo 850...I went to buy a 1994 turbo parts car in Cleveland last year only to find that it was worse looking than my Challenger before we started!!  No rust but completely shot, engine was seized, broke it loose and started it, shot oil and antifreeze out the bottom of the motor. :roflsmiley:How can people take such poor car of a(at the time of purchase) 30k car? :stomp: :crying:  Boggles my mind :violin:

It's been said before and is really true. When they were a couple of years old they were just used cars. If a person only had an idea what people would think of them 35 years later I know I would of been a lot nicer to mine. A real funny one was my cousin traded a purple 4 speed AAR for a Datson pickup and $100.00 in '76. At the time the gas crises was taking off and a 4 banger was a lot easier on gas. We talk about most everytime we get togather and he thinks what a stupid thing to do. At the time it sounded good. He went from 9-10 mpg to 25mpg and thought he was the king of the world.  :roflsmiley: :smilielol:
