After my car setting in a barn in Death Valley California since 1975, and stripped down to the hull, It is running now.
I got a few hundred hours in assembling it to have it shipped to Alabama, then take it back apart since it had zero paint on 80% of the panels, Building carbs (3) re sealing the 4 speed, building the steering column, installing and building the whole brake system and eveything else that bites your wallet........It finally runs. It is cooling down over night now to season the block and cam.
I ordered a full set of black seat covers, headliner and carpet from Dante's parts.com
a 3/8ths fuel sending unit
all new cat wiskers from a deals a deal off the bay
Door window kits and clutch linkage off of hoovers
a complete set of 15x7 rallye rims, trim rings, light argent center caps, with the lugs from a dealer in San Jose Ca. for 640.00
Road lamps and brackets from a guy out of Pa.
E parts sent me my marker lights
Josh's muscle cars sent me the date coded mufflers, all the exhaust brackets, lower front grill and front gravel pan
I still got a couple more grand to go, but I hope to drive it to some events in the middle of spring or early summer.
With all the stress going on in my life right now, I needed this to cheer me up.
Luckily, I had the plug wires and distributor wired correct. It fired right up. The amp gauge showed charging and the oil pressure was above 80% on the rallye gauge.
Just thought I'd share this with you. I am always amazed at when I take nothing but bare block and heads and a hull of a car, and assemble it and it runs good.
Thanks for the help guys. I got some parts through cc.c ....ALAN
