Door Hinge Question - something tells me this is not right

I took my hinges off last night to have them redone and noticed that both of my upper hinges are marked with a P and are both part number 1602. My lower hinges are marked D and P as you would suspect. Could a passenger side upper hinge have been mounted differently to work on a drivers side door? I did not even pay any attention when I was taking them off??

I am pretty sure that the top hinge is interchangeable.  I rebuild mine myself, so I just made sure the pin was pointing down for the appropriate side.
