  • Finally another E body!
73 Cuda Project
« on: March 14, 2007 - 07:58:22 PM »

After getting rid of my cool collection of 70s mopars back in the 90s I figured at todays prices an E body was out of reach. Fortune has smiled upon me! This 73 sat since 1987 with no windshield or back glass and had the carb, distributor and ignition module robbed and a few other missing small parts. The trunk floor is intact but the floorboards suffered a bit though not as much as one might imagine. It is a 318 "Cuda" nicely optioned with air and suspension package, slapstick console and three speaker dash. I had the parts for the engine laying around in boxes so I figured what the heck. Put them on the car and poured a little fuel/ATF mix in the carb. I had to turn it 180 and then it busted right off. The lifters clattered for just a sec and it smoothed out. The block appears to be sound dunno about the tranny yet as it was missing the column support bracket and the column was in the floor. The interior though crunchy wasn't to bad. White with black inserts. I will start seriously taking it apart in the next few days to see what other parts she will need and then get her blasted and clean.
