Hurst Pistol Grip Question
« on: March 25, 2007 - 09:05:13 PM »

I'm looking at buying a replacement Hurst shifter for the Keisler "TKO" shifter in the conversion kit.
However, most places Summit, YO, etc, state that the shifter is for console cars.

Question: Is there two different shifters for the E-Bodies? Console and non-console?  :clueless:
I know which style I need, the bolt in but get put off buying them because the small print reads as per above.

Thanks,
NZ

Its the same shifter.  In the summit add they are referring to that shifter fitting all E bodies and 71-74 B bodies with a console because in those cars they had two different pistol grips.

I just got one of the E body shifters from summit and am really happy with it.  You cant do any better for the price.

Thanks mate, I should have known that but better to ask first.
The B-Bodies have the longer handle if it's no console due to bench seat I'm guessing. :P

Price, I'll say......awesome deal. If you're happy, I'll be happy. I just want the HURST logo.  :woo:

the 71 up B body bench is a medium lenght handle as you suspected , longer than the E & shorter than the 70 B

More than likely, you want it? It will have "TKO" on the handle. :dunno: :-\
