As I am a "Dumb" American (speak english only, not fluent with the metric system, I have no idea the U.S. dollar in terms of a pound) pardon the expresion) speak in english.

How much is $4,459 pounds and 1727 kg.

as hp is a standard term,  1 hp is = to the amount of power it takes to turn a 33,000lb drum 1" in 1 minute
(are those figure right ?)

what year of car was in the article ?

Year = 1972, 1727kg = 3800p, and it would cost around $6,750-USD  ;)
