Broadband.  Specifically cable for the downstairs Mac system and Megapath DSL for the servers, work tunnels, and workstation upstairs.

I didn't respond to the poll because we don't have "PC"s here; they are not allowed in the house just like chevies aren't allowed in the garage...

I`ll admit it,i`m still on dial up.My computer is 7-8 years old and I should be buying a new one soon and then I`ll make the switch.I have dsl access at work on breaks so if there`s a thread with a lot of pics I`ll check it out there.

Satellite broadband by Wildblue since October 2005. It's tons faster than the old dial-up. They have their 2nd satellite launched and are signing up people again. About $50.00 per month.

Srarted out with Road Runner when we first got the computer..........$44.95 a month........Was pricy so when I loaded up all the sites on my favorites list concerning Challengers, We switched to  Net Zero at  $9.95 a month.  That lasted about a year. Got really tired of the slow motion and not being able to use the phone at the same time.  Now we have what some call light Road Runner which goes by the name of AOL on line.  Fast to me as regular RR and only $24.95 a month.............. :cooldancing:

That sounds like what I have. I have the "light" version from my cable company, but it is heaps faster than dial-up AOL for the same price. How could I refuse?  :dunno: I have no problem with the speed of the downloads now. I can't imagine paying almost twice what I'm paying now for the Hi-Speed version.  :grinno:

Do you recall when dial up was all there was and being slow for websites to show was acceptable? No one ever complained then because it was the norm.

I've got DSL and will never look back or consider dial up again...ever.
