Entire front suspension from 73 Cuda
« on: March 29, 2007 - 07:18:14 PM »
I have the entire front suspension from a 73 Cuda. It has disk brakes and sway bar and includes the k-frame and T bars. All the parts are in great shape and are not pitted with rust. I was not planning on selling it but they are at a friends place and someone asked to buy them and he will be back on Saturday so I thought I might give him a price but I have no clue what they are worth. Thanks Mark

If your were to break this down into component's I have no doubt that you would easily get over a grand on eBay. To sell complete and avoid the hassle I guess something just under a grand would be reasonable.  :2cents:

Thanks Bullitt
I would not have thought it would have brought that kind of money. I guess I should take it apart and sell it one piece at a time.

Confederate Cuda, the price mostly relies on if the package would include all the bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. and how new they are.  If you're going to be getting rid of just the hard components, then I'd expect to see somewhere around $450-$600.00.  I'd double check what some of the parts are selling for on eBay then make my final decision.  K-frames for a small block usually bring around $80-$150, a complete front disc brake setup probably somewhere near $200, and the TB's and sway bar probably making up around $100-$150, provided the TB's are a more desirable size. (like .920's or .960's.  Stock 318 cars came with something like .880's that aren't really that great unless someone wants a better pull in drag racing.)  Hopefully this gives you an idea of what to expect.  I'd think close to $1,000 and up would only work if it was a recently freshened-up set consisting of all the bushings, ball joints, etc. :dunno:

Thanks. I was thinking something like $400 or $500. What size were the 340 T bars? .90?

I don't know what size 340 bars were originally.  They must be somewhere near .90 considering a 318 used .880's and 440-6/Hemi's used .920's.

I would think the lower control arms alone would bring over $300. the strut bars are another pricey little item maybe $100 pair. Most everything else could depend on who's shopping at that time. If Cleaned up & properly presented restorers will pay serious dollars for items "in great shape and are not pitted with rust"
